THE WORLD'S BEST PORTABLE DOG & PET RAMP ![]() Don't be fooled by imitation dog ramps. We have your safety and your pet's safety in mind at all times. When you choose PetSTEP™ you have chosen the industry leader and a product you will have for life. The PetSTEP™ folding ramp is 35" long (when folded) and 5" thick, which makes it ideal to store behind the drivers seat. At only 18.5 pounds in weight and with the capacity to hold 500 pounds, these attributes make the ramp safe and easy to use. We have found that with repeated use, the telescoping ramp needs adjustments, which results in a non- safe application. We have designed the PetSTEP™ with a rubberized non-slip finish to avoid the need for carpeting. Carpet retains moisture, mildew, and harbors odors and germs and must be replaced periodically. The PetSTEP™ is tried and true, supported by most veterinarians. PetSTEP™ offers you many options for your ramp and lifestyles. With the optional accessories, the ramp quickly converts into a sturdy utility table. We also offer a Flotation Kit for boats or deep water, whereby the pet walks out of the water and onto the boat. We also offer a Swimming Pool Legs Kit for swimming pool safety. The PetSTEP™ is ideal for SUV-type vehicles, pickups, stair replacements, boat to dock use and excellent for a utility ramp. You can adapt your PetSTEP™ as your lifestyle changes and for those of you using the PetSTEP™ in deep water, it will not sink, as it is designed with built-in buoyancy. IMPORTANT MESSAGE... If you own a pet ramp, please do not place it unsecured in the compartment with your pet as it may move due to a sudden stop. It is best to simply tuck the pet ramp behind your driver's seat where it is safe and handy for you. We also do NOT recommend placing the dog ramp flat on the back seat, as this presents similar problems in a quick stop. Your pet's safety is our number one concern. STAIRS FOR PETS? Dogs and cats do not like stairs! It is very difficult for our furry friends to attempt to climb stairs, particularly if they are currently experiencing joint swelling, dysplasia, arthritis or pain. It is most difficult for them to bring their back legs onto another level, which further causes pain and injury. The gradual slope of a ramp is the answer, for it allows the pet to slowly, walk up the PetSTEP, at their own pace. Do not wait until your pet is old, becomes injured or can no longer get to their favorite place. We recommend you never let your pet jump up or down from difficult places, start them on a PetSTEP™ at a young age. The PetSTEP Team The single worst thing that we can let our beloved pet do is to jump down from high places. Most of us do not think about this however, by allowing a pet to jump from a high place is exactly like us jumping from the back of our SUV or kitchen table on our hands. All the weight of the person or pet is placed on our hands or paws. It is particularly destructive after the pet has been in a vehicle for an extended period of time, as their muscles, joints & tendons are stiff. This repetitive stress will contribute to arthritis and hip dysplasia. As Seen in the New York Times! As Seen in the Philadelphia Inquirer! The PetSTEP™ products are designed by pet lovers for the comfort of our pets, and their handlers' convenience. The PetSTEP II MPR & HalfSTEP II MPR bring quality workmanship, durability and maximum portability. The ramp weighs just 18.5 pounds, with a 500 pound weight-bearing capability and will provide years of service for you and your pet. Our PetSTEP products and accessories make our PetSTEP II MPR & HalfSTEP II MPR truly an all-purpose ramp. With the addition of optional equipment, the PetSTEP quickly converts into a sturdy table, a wagon/cart with a pull handle, a flotation kit for boat to deep water and boat to dock, and is excellent for swimming pool safety, particularly for those pools without steps. We have engineered a new non-slip surface of rubberized material, solving the problems of moisture, mildew and odors that carpet causes. After extensive testing by a team at San Jose State University, we know that a side rail of 1 ½ " is optimal to prevent a pet from slipping sideways. Test results indicate that a higher side rail is a danger to the pet, in the event of a misstep, safely clearing the side rail. We strongly recommend that you start your pet on a PetSTEP ramp from a very young age as damage is done each and every time a pet is forced to jump up or down from a difficult height. Our studies indicate that each time our pet jumps up into a difficult place, they most often strike their chest or back legs, causing additional stress and injury. Ask any veterinarian and they will tell you that this is so. Don't wait until your pet is injured, arthritic or displays signs of dysplasia!
